UPDATE: Temporary fix found on this thread (minimize then un-minimize Fusion 360): http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/general-fusion-360-questions/fusion-360-mac-trackpad-problem/m-p/56082...
On every 2nd or 3rd open of Fusion 360 I instantly test holding SHIFT+moving the trackpad to rotate my model. Unfortunately, when it doesn't work, I'm forced to crash the program and reopen it to get full control back. It's like the controls are reverting/clashing with another setting - as my trackpad defaults back to zooming in and out (with 2 fingers up and down). It doesn't matter what model I open, or even if I open a new workspace, it still happens frequently.
This is becoming a ridiculous slowdown that I would like to know if it's on the roadmap to fix at all? Or if I have any settings that keep reverting back to weird defaults?
For the record, I'm on a mid 2014 Macbook Pro Retina, high specs, and latest Yosemite.
