Hey everyone! 😊
I'm working on an object and was wondering what's the best approach to get the desired result.
To make it simple, I got the following body and would like a chamfer on the blue line to the outer edge (all the way around):
What's the best way to achieve a similar result like this?🤔
I tried to create a loft with two surfaces (inner "wall" and outer "wall") but I'm not convinced with the result due to some strange shapes:
I'm currently stuck and would like your help.
I attached a sample file for you.
Many thanks to everyone and best
Eric

Thanks for your input, @TheCADWhisperer !
Already created a loft - but as already said - it wasn't convincing.
Anyway, thanks and yes, the design is not fully defined (was in a hurry)!
Thanks a lot, @g-andresen !
Interesting approach... but it's not going from one edge to the other.
Will have a more detailed look at your solution and maybe it's easy to extend it.
Anyway, looks like the best solution so far. 👍
At least much more convincing than my surface-loft...😊
Finally, your video is also available!
That's amazing... many thanks for doing it! Helped me a lot to additionally understand your approach.
Will try it myself and will let you know the result.
Thanks! 👌
That's obviously the best result ... imho.
Based on your idea, I created the above body... exactly what I wanted! 👌
Again... many thanks! 🙏
Just wanted a chamfer from the outer edge to the inner edge.
But based on your idea... it was pretty easy for me to solve this.
Thanks!
wgen a simpler tool than loft will achieve the end goal, it's generally better to use the simpler tool. here sweep seems to work-
