Attributes and drawing templates

Hi, 

I really need to be able to change the attributes them self. So far i got the suggestion to use autocad.....dude, really! One more program to spend time in, just because it is not possible in Fusion.

At the moment i am struggling to set up a new A3 drawing template for the company, who  choose fusion as cad software which to me seems limited...

To insert a title block is easy, but where to get one with all the attributes i need? Can i send an email to the fusion development team and ask them to make a special?

Thanks for posting! At this time, the only way to create custom title blocks with attributes is to create the title block for a Fusion drawing is to use AutoCAD (this is illustrated in the video linked here). This is a current limitation, but the development team will be addressing it by adding the ability to create custom title blocks in Fusion. This will be released in a future update to Fusion.

You can keep an eye on what features are coming to the Drawings workspace at the Drawings Roadmap, and, if you do not see the feature you are looking for there, we'd love to hear your input on the Fusion 360 Ideastation.

Hi,
So, I did struggle all day long in autocad, but finally I got the attributes to work on fusion. Two things that confuses me. First, as I made a complete new A3 sheet with attributes and blocks, I want to save it as an fusion template, and the location for the icon should be in the output drop down list, BUT IT IS NOT...Any hints for me? Secondly, since I used layers with colors, controlling lines I autocad, all the pretty colors tagged along into fusion..Now, when printing, our printer does not accept monochrome, so it switched back to color mode, and I get the easter theme....Any good suggestions, what to set in autocad before Save?

Thanks for the response!

1. Are you using this procedure to create the drawing template? If so, you won't need to export the drawing template - you will simply need to save the Drawing Template file (using the "Save" option).
2. Do you mean the colors are printing in a different hue than is shown in Fusion? This would be an issue with the printer. I know that Fusion has limited support for layers and colors from AutoCAD at this time, but the option to color 2D drawing elements has been presented on the Ideastation and is in the drawing teams backlog - hopefully this will provide a longer term solution in the future.

Can we get an updated procedure for this? I have done all of this multiple times and keep running into the issues of attirubtes not coming through from my CAD block into fusion. I also can't even open the attributes editing window for the "From Scratch" title block.
