As Built Joint / Rigid Group - Constrain Imported STEP file

I have imported a STEP file assembly into fusion. The sub components of that file are in the correct spot.

I think I have been able to lock the sub components together successfully. However, when I import that part into another design and use a joint on it, it pulls away just one sub level component, not the full assembly.

What step am I missing?

without the design, it is very hard to speculate.  It could be instructive to turn on the origins of the sub-assembly and the lower-level components in that sub-assembly.  It could be that the entire sub-assembly is free to move.  If you can reproduce this in a simpler version, it would be helpful

Hi,

Without insight into the construction, hints are not possible.

Please recreate that situation and share it.

Turns out, it was just the preview that was just pulling the sub component.
As I started to make a quick mockup to explain the situation, I noticed
this. False alarm. Thanks for the quick response.
