After Copy-Paste New, How to Dimension?

If I Copy a Component, and then Paste New, I don't have access to the Sketch/Extrusion Dimensions in the timeline for the new Component. How can I parametrically dimension the new Component? Thank you!

If you create your components, using Rule #1, which places the component sketch below the component, the editing of the new Paste New component will not be an issue.  The Screencast will explain.  I attached the model I created, as you can see the timeline offers the ability to edit.

Ahhh, I see. Many thanks and much appreciated. I had created a Body, and then converted it to a Component, so the sketch was outside of the Component, and thus didn't copy over when I did the "Paste New". Your reply clears this all up!
