How can I set the extend command back to extend (click on object) to extend then (click to where)?

My Apologies, just a simple extend command, before i could click line i wanted to extend and to where.....and now in 2021, I have to select a "boundary" , wondering if it can get changed back to old way

you can't extend sketch line to target directly

Its a Polyline that i am trying to extend....new way in 2021 has it to select a boundary...im trying to see if it can be set back to old way

Fusion 360 cloud based (you should have latest version "online work") .so you can't get the versions before

to the best of my knowledge, sketch extend has not changed in a very long time.  The interaction has always been to hover over a curve, the preview extension will be highlighted in red, and clicking will extend that curve to the next intersection (virtual or real)
