Today I had a very stressful thing happen. I was unable to access my cloud data through Fusion 360. My subscription was due for automatic renewal tomorrow and I assumed that there may have been an issue with my subscription. After 1 failed phone call, I managed to contact the license/activation support desk at Autodesk. They verified that my license was currently active but could not resolve my issue (determining it was a technical problem). Their suggestion was to contact the Fusion team via email or the support forum. I have to say, It was extremely stressful to not have access to my cloud based data within fusion and incredibly frustrating that I couldn't talk to someone on the phone. This event was my worst fear when choosing to use a cloud based system- That I could be locked out of my data, with an inability to work, through no fault of my own. Not being able to talk to someone on the phone for an immediate resolution was extremely concerning. While on hold, I emailed the only address I had on hand for a fusion 360 team member (I had received a marketing email from him). To my great surprise and gratitude, he replied with the correct resolution in about 15 minutes. I was impressed with that service and glad that my total down time was only about an hour. That said, using a cloud based system takes a leap and requires you to trust Autodesk a great amount, I think that there needs to be some means for phone support for critical emergencies that involve complete loss of use of the product. I understand that phone support probably doesn't fit into the financial model of Fusion 360, it is a surprisingly low price for the incredible capability. However, I think there needs to be some form of support for these types of critical issues. On a related note, is there any type of issue bulletin that I could have used to see this bug and the resolution? I'm not sure how many people experienced my same problem, but It seems like a possible solution without the cost of phone support could be an "Emergency" issue bulletin board where one could find solutions to critical issues that prevent the use of the software. Thanks, and thanks again to Jeffrey H. for his rapid reply to my issue.
