No you cannot use Animation for assembly. There is no capability to display text instructions as part of the animation. There are annotations, however, when you click on the check mark to save the animation they disappear only to appear again with a double click.
Since I can't see the content of the annotations during an animation they are not very useful.
We need a formal tool even if it's a separate tool to allow us to properly illustrate and animate products we design in this tool.
