Preferences or Settings File Location

Hi,

Can anyone tell me where to find the preferences (or settings) file location in Windows? I would like to deploy it to other FormIt users in the firm so that custom material and Dynamo libraries are preloaded.

FormIt Version: 2022.1.0

Hi @petehLA332,

You can access Preferences via Edit > Prefererences. From there, you'll see Materials and Dynamo listed on the left. 

You can also access Materials and Dynamo linking from their respective panels. Take a look at the help docs for linking Material libraries, and similar information for Dynamo.

They are located in the registry.

Apologies @petehLA332, I realize now what Jeff mentioned is what you're looking for.

We don't store these preferences in a file, but in the registry as Jeff showed in his screenshot. You should be able to use a copy of that registry path, or individual registry values, once you've got everything set up in the FormIt instance you intend to deploy.
