Merge adjoining basic buildings

When using the basic building tools to construct a building it currently doesn't seem possible to merge the adjoining buildings and requires one to be deleted and the other updated. This is incredibly inefficient. 

In this example I want to draw a floorplan that spans both adjoining buildings. I appreciate that this is simple example and I can edit the floorplan of one of the buildings, but if I had a more complicated building, or existing floor plans, I wouldn't want to lose this information. 

I would expect this to be possible if the building levels aligned, and didn't currently overlap.  If either occurred I would like an option to align the floor levels or reset the floor plans for overlapping geometry.

Supporting this is on our todo list but unfortunate we only have an early prototype of this functionality which is not ready for external testing at the moment.
