Meetings Should Create an Outlook/Teams Calendar Item

Adding a video conference link doesn't create a calendar entry in Teams or Zoom. This should be changed to allow for users to get calendar invites like they would for a normal meeting. Currently, I would have to download an .ics file and sync the event to my calendar which becomes a headache when there are multiple meetings.

This is a major limitation in the meetings tool.

I fully agree, the email for a meeting to invitees need to include the ICS (or a link that will do the same thing) to allow the invitee to create the appointment in their calendar along with the Link for the meeting (Teams, Zoom, whatever) if there is one.

Especially if the meeting tool was used to generate the VC link.  Maybe it could be an option when sending?

This is a must have.

 

It should be possible to schedule meeting series to block time in the outlook calendar. The agenda could be automatically updated in the calendar when the meeting minutes from the past meeting is made. 

Hard to get users to use meetings due to the lack of integration to Outlook. 
The meeting changes and the calendar fil must be downloaded and opened to update outlook. And then share with the others that also must download and open the file. If one person don't do it, they will missout. Too many steps and too inconvenient at this time. Meetings are good but still need the last few things to be very good.

I disagree with this approach - that an Acc meeting should create an outlook link. Instead, I suggest that all meetings should be created in Outlook, where coordination with individual schedules can be done easily and the Teams link is automatically generated. Once created in Outlook, then an Acc meeting with the same invitees should integrated via a single click. Currently, I have to create two separate entries - one in Outlook and one in Acc, and recreate the invitee list in each. Am I missing something?
