It would be nice to be able to specify different configurations with a startup switch. This would allow users to launch from different shortcuts that are paired with the configuration that they need to be using. Scott Hendricks showed me that this can be done to force an autocad profile on launch but we both agreed it would be nice if there was a way to load a configuration. If that isn't possible it would be nice to have a command similar to "maplogout" for changing configurations as easily as you can change users. To elaborate a little further: When you launch Autodesk fabrication it allows you to pick a configuration. Once it’s picked you cannot easily switch between configurations. I was hoping that there was a way to easily toggle without having to completely close out of AutoCad >> Relaunch >> Select the new configuration. When you launch bare AutoCAD and type Takeoff it allows you to select a configuration but any time after you type takeoff again it does not allow you to adjust the configuration from say, a working database to a master database or a piping database to a ductwork database. I’m thinking that if they added a startup switch you could change the shortcut “start in” to each database that you wanted and then just launch the shortcut with a double click or auto hot key command, so it would still be cycling through the “load” process but it would be a little bit faster than launching and selecting the database manually.
