Specify number of items of array with lookup table (dropdown)

I have a file with two nested blocks, with two visiblity states for showing either item A or B. I would like to array them and specify the number of items from a drowdown. I set a linear parameter and array action for each, so they array independently. How do I associate a number dropdown for the item number to the array?

See the attached drawing for an example. The bottom grip controls the circle. The top grip controls the square

The one thing I don't understand is when I recreated the lookup parameter with a lookup action, I was not able to enter values for the lookup, despite having set the distance 2 parameter (following along a tutorial). Could you tell me how these values are supposed to be inserted in the lookup table?

Can you post your drawing.

As to the lookup. The input property needs to be the distance, and the value needs to be the total distance for the number of items you need to array. So if the items are arrayed every 10 your distances need to be multiples of 10. See the image below

Ah, I see, I can just type in the values for the lookup. Nvm, thank you!

E: Final question: can this by any chance be automatically filled in?
