Dynamic 3D block imports?

Hi all,

Can parametric/dynamic blocks created in any other software such as inventor or revit be brought into an autocad drawing still function properly?

Poking around these forums and others i see that 3D blocks can be created and manipulated on XY using surfaces vs solids, however im looking for a solution for those cases where you need XYZ edits.

Has anyone had any luck with this, or know if inventor/revit can solve this problem?

Thank you,

-Bruce

You can create some 3d functions using a nested block, where the sub blocks can be in a different axis. Limited functions, it's a pity that the child grip controls can be passed up to the parent block. Maybe Autocad will consider adding some inherence flags to the controls in the future.
