a couple of things when creating dynamic blocks.
try to keep you base point (origin) @ 0,0,0
and work in the positive quadrant, this will help with any dimensional values
if you start from the beginning, how many vents are there?
what is the original size of the cubicle? width & Height?
do you want the hinges to adjust equally when you increase the height?
the vents should always be equally spaced so the distance between the array will depend on how far (increments) you stretch.
