Cant select parameters for an action in the authoring palatte for dynamic blocks

Hi all, I wonder if anyone could help please?

I am using Autocad LT 2021. I am following a "Linked In"(was Lynda) video tutorial on Dynamic Blocks. I'm using the accompanying training files for the exercise and following the exact instructions given. While doing an exercise using the dynamic block editor, I have to add another flip action (horizontal) to an existing dynamic block that already has a vertical flip action to it. I have no issues when setting the flip parameter from the Block Authoring Palette. The issue comes  when I go to the Actions tab (of the Authoring Palette) and try to select the parameter. It does nothing! I click to try draw a selection window and nothing, not even an error message telling what's wrong??

Can anyone help please as I'm stumped and cant go any further until I've worked out what's going wrong.

Any help will be gratefully appreciated.

Can you send a lnk to the video (if that's possible I think they might be subscription only) or carefully go through and describe the exact steps you are taking.

Hi Steve, Thanks for getting back to me. See the above link, my issues start at 3:10 when trying to draw a selection box for the items included in the parameters.

Unfortunately, that is a paid link (or free trial) but I am not willing to enter a 30 day trial as it will invalidate any trial that I may wish to follow for my own use in the future. So I can't see the sequence of events you are trying to follow.

It might help if you can post a copy of the block you are working on to see if there any obvious problems in that block. This should include the new parameter that you can not select when it comes to applying an action.

Download SCREENCAST (https://knowledge.autodesk.com/community/screencast)

This will record the steps you take in AutoCAD. Then you can upload the video. See the ringed area in the image below.

Hi Steve,

I did send the link to a colleague who doesn't have an account and the video appeared to play with out signing up to anything? Anyhow, I'll try explain the issue. I have attached the drawing file(training file form linked in course). Using the door labeled number "2" on the right hand floor plan, going between a bathroom and what looks like a lounge. So I open that block in the block editor and need to add a horizontal flip command. As the video tells me, I select the flip button on the Parameters tab, hold shift & right click to select the "mid between 2 points" option, then select the bottom left of the actual door, then the end or the arc on the right side which then allows me to create the flip state 2 (horizontal). Hit enter, hit escape. Then when I go to the Actions tab (of authoring palette), I select FLIP, the command prompts me to SELECT PARAMETER, then when I click to draw a selection window......Nothing. It wont let me draw the selection window in either direction?  I hope I've described this well enough?  Please let me know if anything is unclear. Again thanks so much for taking the time to help me out!

Hope this worked.  No audio sorry. At 45 seconds in, when trying to click to draw a selection window, it doesn't let me draw the window.

You need to select the Flip parameter first and then you can select your objects. Also if you look at the tab PARAMETER SETS and scroll all the way to the bottom you will see one which says FLIP SET, this will do the first two parts for you, then all you'll need to do is select the objects you want to flip
