This has nothing to do with DBlock, as far as I can determine. Don't
cross-post.

I almost certain it is caused by those external dblocks!!!

Have you run Audit on your drawings that are affected by this. Run it and make sure it is fixing errors as it goes.

You only mention xrefs, not dblocks.

I use autocad 2000/2000i and i can't refedit the drawing
after i attached it in a new drawing.

autocad 2007 no problems!

I appreciate your interest!

Well, that's a problem. 2007 significantly changed how materials were
handled. So you are saying that a SaveAs of a 2007-base drawing down to 2000
causes 2000/2000i to complain?

Sorry I cannot help further, since I dumped 2000 about 5 years ago.

Hello Quiz,

I see you have ignored the earlier requests for the specific solution for this problem. We just ran into the same problem and I would very much appreciate it if you would share the fix with me and the rest of the community!

Copy all geometry to a new drawing in your older version. Copy all of the layouts, use design centre if you have it.

Problem goes away. It's a nuisance, but that's the only fix that I'm aware of.

Hello,
I have encountered also the same problem? With error message:

Application reference missing: ACAD, to AcDbLinetypeTableRecord.

I tried both the audit and the copy to new drawing but those didn't work!?@#... I also tried to rename the block and purge, still not successful... anyone has any other brilliant idea on this? PLEASE HELP...

The drawing contains Macros. I wblocked them out to a new drawing, then they seemed to disappear.

Try this.. not sure if it will help, or not. Message was edited by: sschwartz

I found a 3D line in the block I made and when I fixed it, the problem was solved.
