CCTV camera with field of view

Hi,

Hoping someone can help me, I'm trying to configure a block for a CCTV camera to rotate with the field of view. Can anyone help out, I know there is a couple of these on the forum but I need it to be applied to our block.

How many degrees is the maximum and minimum view angle?

Unlock the point on the construction line in the center of the view.  Add the appropriate constraints so you can use an angular constraint to rotate the camera and view.

Hi Libbya,

I wouldnt need much more than a range of 10 to 120 deg. My biggest issue is getting the camera to stay with the FOV when rotating the whole block and changing the FOV.

At our office, we have two blocks one is the camera block and another one is the Camera FOV due to this issue. We have separate rotations for the camera and the FOV. I have created one similar to that and attached it. See if that helps🙂

The focal length of a lens can range from 2mm to 100mm, but the common focal length for fixed-lens security cameras are 2.8mm, 4mm, 6mm, and 12mm. As for varifocal-lens security cameras, the most common focal length will be 2.8-12mm or 2.7-13.5mm.

Wide-angle security cameras with a focal length of 2.8mm or shorter work best for large areas such as parking lots, backyards, warehouses, construction sites, etc. Security cameras with a long focal length of 8mm or more are ideal for critical entrances, like doorways, hallways, cash registers, etc.
