Working in coordinatesystem (e.g. UTM) without distortion

While UTM provides a high level of accuracy over small areas, it introduces distortion in shape, area, distance, and direction as you move further from the central meridian of each UTM zone. This distortion becomes significant in large-scale projects or when working across multiple UTM zones. In CAD software, this can lead to inaccuracies in measurements and design if not properly managed, requiring users to apply corrections or transformations to ensure spatial accuracy.

In Germany, UTM is the standard coordinatesystem and these days you only get such documents from surveyors or authorities. We are currently trying to have the data transformed into Gauss Krüger because the distortion there is negligible, but this is becoming increasingly difficult. The problem is that when we work in UTM, we always work in 1:1. If the surveyor then takes the file to stake out, then e.g. the cadastral boundaries have been converted back correctly, but the planned lines and objects are distorted.

From our side, it is necessary in the long term that the program is able to work with the system.
