It would be helpful to be able to addstylesandsettings in the template reference dialog box would have a right click to promote styles to drawing, you could then remove the reference.
The use of this would be to have one mega template distributed to "sub" templates. When the "sub" template is used the reference template could be removed. This way templates could be updated up to the time of being copied for a project. Then the project drawings would stop being updated with template changes.
