Project Explorer - Select Pipe Run Start and End Structure in Drawing

The pipe run editing tools in Project Explorer are awesome, but having to know the name of the desired start/end structures THEN scroll slowly through the entire list of all structures in the drawing to find the target structures makes the feature cumbersome.  The ability to select start/end structures by clicking them in the drawing would boost the tool dramatically.

Thank you for your suggestion. Did you know that in Project Explorer 2024 and later, you can select objects (such as pipes and structures) in the drawing and right-click to select them in Project Explorer?

I did not know that.  My company has not yet upgraded to 2024.

Will this set the structure as the start and/or end structure in the Pipe Run menu?

Sorry for the delayed reply. I checked this out and while this workflow opens PE with the part selected on the main PE window, it shows the entire network in the preview window; it does not default the pipe run to the selected parts.

Agree this would be a huge help.  The edit pipe run function is so powerful but is way less efficient to use than it could be.  Having options in the right click menu to "set structure as pipe run start (in project explorer)" and "set structure as pipe run end (in project explorer)" when selecting a structure in plan view, toolspace, and project explorer would make using Edit Pipe Run so much better.

A smaller improvement would be enabling scrolling with the mouse scroll wheel in the dropdown for selecting start/end structure instead of only being able to use the little scroll arrows.
