I know some third party software activates this functionality, but with Project Explorer (PE) tables, this feature becomes a great opportunity. With PE we can build dynamic AutoCAD tables for many C3D objects. I know contractors generally prefer (or don't care) getting point data in XYZ instead of Sta/Off, but on the design and review side, Sta/Off is still a useful and ingrained method of locating objects. If we could get a dynamic point table that gives Sta/Off data, then the potential use of COGO points expands significantly (sign summary tables, utilities, staking). In Project Explorer if we select a Layout Profile we can export it to 3D DWG, as a 3d polyline. The issue is this feature is working wrong because if you have a layout profile which starts in the 20 station, 3D polyline generates a vertex in station 0 with elevation 0. It would create vertex of the 3D polyline only if is part of the profile.  Currently that command generates a 3D polyline of the alignment and then inserts PVI with new vertex on that 3D polyline. That criteria is wrong...   As a surveyor we load files in survey controller in 3D polylines but only of PVI profiles. In fact, if the layout profile has parabolas, this command needs settings to set the frequency in parabola to create new vertex in the 3d polyline.   If the user wants all the alignment (even with some vertex with 0 elevation) and PVI inserted on it, maybe you could add a new option to the usar from a dialog box of parameters.   Show More

A bunch of simple fixes: 1. In Project Explorer - make editing like a spreadsheet rather than Double Click to go to edit box. Heck, why not allow copy/paste from spreadsheet?  It is a spreadsheet after all. Isn't this just as simple as changing the type of Windows Form used? 2. Pipe Properties - Use the existing Description as the default for editing from the Properties Palette rather than making it blank. 3. Don't mess with Object Snaps on insert Elevation Point or PI for Feature Lines. (Or any other command for that matter, I know what I want to do) 4. Allow more Pipe Properties to be changed via the Properties Palette, like Alignment, heck why not even Inverts! 5. Pipe Profile Labels - Add Start of View and End of View Properties just like profiles,  to allow labeling across profiles. 6. Surfaces - allow edits to stay at the bottom of the definition, things like Smooth and Boundary.  Lock to Bottom? 7. Corridor Feature Lines - Double check if this feature line exists on edits.  Often an edit adding a region will produce a duplicate. 8. Add "Rule" to Pipe Property labeling.  Everything under the sun is there except this.  Important in some (stupid) situations.  I need to know which rule is applied.  Heck add "Is this rule applied" as well. 9.  Allow Dynamo to change Alignment Constraints.  (Not needed as much in 2026 with new polyline to alignment behavior, but still) 10. Don't allow duplicate Property Sets.  Some projects have rampaging property set definitions Objects, Objects (1) ... Objects (500).  Stop this from happening. 11. Change the Import Settings dialog to allow for much better control.  Rather than scrolling through a list of 1000 settings and picking and choosing.  Or at the very least allow the selection of multiple items with Shift. 12. Allow Purge Settings to also delete Object Layers  Again allow multiple selections with Shift.   I really need to start a running list, I know I am forgetting some simple ones.  Many of these seem as simple as changing the Windows Form or Control. Or fixing what I assume (Object snapping) came from programmer debugging long ago.   Fixing the simple stuff would help so much with day to day work, rather than fancy new AI features.  Use AI to do it if that make it easier.  I really don't AI to take me to Help, I just need things to be easier in very simple ways.   Show More

Currently there is no provision in Civil 3D to import Points in Station Offset Elevation Code format in Civil 3D. Export however is possible. Would like to have the "Import" facility also.   Thanks.     Show More

In my opinion, Project explorer should show more info and do queries.   For example, in the FL tab, a column called Used (Yes/No) to know if I can remove that FL because it is not being used (linked) to a corridor or surface.   Also, Editable column is not enough if you want to difference between dynamic corridor FL and standalone(static) corridor FL.   If I select a FL of the list it should show: -which corridor regions are being used as a target (horizontal or vertical) -which corridor are being used as a Baseline.. -which surface is being used as boundary or breakline.   Currently it is very hard checking dependencies of a FL.   Show More

In the existing Project Explorer the Cogo point doesn't get Point group settings when using "Quick Export to 2D AutoCAD DWG File", instead user manually needs to add the Point Label Style and Point Style to every Point within the Point group which can cause incorrect information regarding layer, state, color etc because the Cogopoint will get the settings from the Point group "_All Points" Idea or suggestion is that the export should read Point Group Settings and not settings from Point Show More

The customization and style creation on the PE side should at least match AutoCAD/Civil 3D standards. Table styles and the color pickers do not align with AutoCAD styles, layers, plot styles, etc. causing issues when plotting PE produced AutoCAD tables.  Additionally, when inserting PE tables into the DWG, additional "ProjectExplorer-##" table styles are created on the fly and begin to muddy the DWG. These should be purged, consolidated and / or designed to work with existing ACAD table styles. I understand the need for customization on the XMPA / PE side of things, however going against the grain of best practices for CADD standards causes friction for users.  Using 255,255,255 as a color in AutoCAD is not an option for many users and plotters, and the fact that Project Explorer does not support Index Colors is a big miss and causes these on-the-fly table styles to not align with graphical standards or require background colors that again may not align with plotters or typical viewport background display settings. It would be great to be able to export the Objects list pane to a single file (or tab for excel).  I can export that data either through quick export or object sets but to recreate the Objects List pane I would need to copy that data from each tab.    I can get similar data for Parcels if I use the 'Parcel_Area_in_CSV' report, but that doesn't include the parcel description which I need for my workflow.    This is something that seems like it would be easy to do but isn't.   Thanks. Please add corridor transition tab to the Civil 3d project explorer corridors section.  This will make it easy to see where you have transitions and how many.  Editing and copying transitions will also be easier.     Show More

Project Explorer currently allows for editing elevations of Feature Line points.  It would be very helpful to also be able to edit Grade Back and Grade Ahead values. Show More

The command that is currently used is the automatic and manual creation of points in the vertices of this, however, there is not or I have not found any command, with which I can perform the automatic or manual creation of coordinate points in a polyline , but that they are generated at a certain number of meters that are needed, that are not generated only in the vertices, but that they are also generated at a certain number of meters that are required.
