Hatching between alignments

Would love to see a option to add hatching between alignments similar to what you can do with profile view hatching. I know its not the same because always have alignments link together like you do with profiles with a profile view. So what I was thinking adding a command called Alignment hatch. You would create the hatch with maybe these steps. 

1. Select main alignment
2. Select all secondary alignments
3. Select hatch pattern
4. Select hatch between station range. 

Once the hatch is created then if the alignments change the hatch area updates dynamically.  We hatch often between between alignments but we end up creating a lot of extra alignments or drawing extra lines just to do this. Then it is not always dynamic and easy to update. So was thinking this would be something that could save a few hours a week.
