An icon that opens the expression editor would be good it one that has drop down opens for new, copy, and edit the currently selected expression would be better.

I'd also love to see Civil 3D Expressions, and Objects exposed to the FIELD engine, so that they can be referenced in MLeaders, MText, etc.

This is a great idea, but the timing isn’t quite right for development consideration in the near term. As such, it is being put on the back burner to be re-visited at a later date. Please continue to comment and add your support.

@peterfunkautodesk in other words come back in 10 years.. this is the sort of core functionality that just gets left behind by Autodesk.

Civil 3D is dead.. switch to 12D http://www.12d.com/ or bentley open roads https://www.bentley.com/en/products/brands/openroads.

At least these companies actively improve their core functionality.
