Export Pressure Network to EPANET module for hydraulics analysis an design
It would be great to find a especific tool, like EPANET, for the hydraulic design of a pressure network from Civil 3D. there is an app developed by an australian software Company. This app is called ProNet and it is base on EPANET software.
I would like to parrot this request. I work in this realm all the time and one of the biggest limitations of C3D is that Pressure Networks does not allow for geometry exporting or direct porting to a hydraulic model. C3D is sorely lacking this core functionality.
PressureCAD is/was supposed to fill this gap (with an EPANET backbone). However, sometime between 2017 and 2018 this third party software moved to the Autodesk App Store and has since became unavailable. It's unclear what is happening with this app.
Another free software that deserved to give a try is called GISWATER, which runs over QGIS (also free). this software allows importing data from Autocad Civil 3D in shp format, then incorporates modules for Facility Management and for linkage with Epanet. A very powerful solution (open source code project).
How about importing the EPANET network into Civil 3D? How about simulating the network directly in Civil 3D? Simulation and BIM in the same program: SOLIDOS https://tbn2net.com/SOLIDOS See here how to import: https://youtu.be/1CLKnRt8nAU
