Troubleshooting Softdesk Block to COGO Point conversion

I have a file which was originally Autodesk blocks which I converted to Softdesk blocks which I now need to convert into COGO points.

I know that there is the "Replace Softdesk Point Block" command, and I have used it with success in the past. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be working anymore.

All of my point groups are visible.

All of my layers are turned on.

Am I missing something here?

I have attached a smaller version of what I am working with, if anyone has any ideas they want to try.

None of the data in the file contains Softdesk Point Blocks, there just plain blocks. If you have a .mdb (LDD) you could get the data from that.

Those are not softdesk pionts. Try to use the Dataextraction command to export what you created to a comma delimited file and then import the ascii file into C3D.

@Anonymous @rl_jackson How can I tell the difference between regular blocks and Softdesk blocks in my drawing?

Using the Data Extraction command worked, thank you!

Regular blocks could be a water valve, sewer manhole and fire hydrant. Softdesk blocks are topo point blocks created by the Softdesk program back in time.

Softdesk point blocks are named POINT and contain 3 attributes: NUMBER, DESC, ELEV

So if I change the name from POINT to something else could that possibly prevent the block from becoming a Softdesk Block? @Jeff_M

If the drawing does not contain any Inserts of a block named POINT, and that block does not have the 3 attributes I described previously, then the ConvertSoftdeskPoints will not find any points to convert.

@Jeff_M Thank you for breaking that down I was wondering how it figured it out on the back end.
