Sweep angle

Hi all,

I am in a project for Civil3D localization as a linguist. I am really wondering about what the definition of "Sweep angle" at road designs is. Is it similar to intersection angle of vertical curve? Please see the attached image, and tell me the definition or let me know the related information.

Thanks in advance.

Sweep Angle appears to be similar to degree of curve or degree of curvature.

Matthew,

I really appreciate it for your answer. I want to ask you one more question. Are you familiar with the terminology of "Sweep angel" in your life? Do you understand what the definition is without any explanation? If not, I'll officially report to Autodesk.

Thanks.

Sweep Angle isn't typical in my work. Degree of Curve or Deflection
Angle is standard terminology of the inclusive angle of the curve in
what I do. But, I don't normally layout highway ramps (I also have an
old AASHTO green book)

I've never heard that term, either. But from your diagram, it looks more like a delta angle or included angle than a Degree of Curve.

Does anyone here use the term "sweep angle"?

Looks more like what we call the delta angle.

If you do a google search for "sweep angle" you will see that it is a term used in the aerospace industry to describe the angle of a planes wings in relation to the fuselage.
