Subassembly with varying slope

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hello,

Is there a subassembly that allows me to either daylight or link slope to surface with a varying slope? I would like to have one subassebly that can have a minimum allowable slope within a range of acceptable slopes.

Thanks,

Perhaps I am wrong, but I would think not.  What about using something like the LinkWidthAndSlope sub and target a Feature Line that is on the surface.

I have had great results using the techniques outlined by Jeff Bartels as shown in his blog link listed below

For me, this has resolved a long standing issues of slope transitions. Hope it helps you too! All you will need to do is create a simple output parameter subassembly with Sub Assembly Composer.

Depending on exactly how you want to determine what the slope is at any given station depends on what you have to do.

If you want the slope to reach a certain horizontal offset or width, I would use a 'linkoffsetonsurface' sub targeting an alignment, feature line or polyline. The elevation would be controlled by the targeted surface.

If you want the height of fill and/or depth of cut to control, I would use conditional subs with the appropriate daylight and/or slope to surface subs.

In some scenarios some of the standard daylight subs may have everything you need built in.
