Project COGO points to Section Views

I have just starting using the Project Objects to Multiple Sections Views command, so forgive me if I sound like a beginner.

When we import our points, I have created different point styles for things like trees, manholes, catchbasins, fire hydrants, etc. so that, when our surveyors pick up these items in the field, they are represented by a symbol in our drawing.

What I want to do is to be able to project those symbols onto our sections. But, I don't want to see the "top" view of a tree or a manhole, I want to see the object from the perspective of the section (trees with height).

Has anyone figured out how to do this with COGO points?

I really can't answer but I  think you would have to have a 3D block.

I have a 3D block, a fire hydrant, and used that as my point style, but it still didn't project correctly. Thanks though.

I believe you should be able to project points to your profile or section view. The blocks you were referring are Multi-view blocks and if you have it set up properly they should work fine. Please see this video for reference. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=99BwObqznqc

I hope it helps.

What I would need to do, is figure out a way to use multi-view blocks as my point style, which is where I'm stuck.

But, this video did help me understand multi-view blocks a little better. No matter what, the projection style of the block would have to be changed for every block. There doesn't appear to be a way to project multiple blocks at the same time (hydrant, hydro pole, bell box, etc) and have the projections for each block set. I would have to change each block to project correctly.
