linetype for greenery (shrubs, trees, hedges)

Hi guys, 

I'm working for a garden design company and in our plans there is a lot of need for a free hand type of linetype. So I really need AutoCAD to have the linetype like shown in the image below (notice it's 3 tipes of squiggle lines). Is that achievable (without drawing it by hand with about a kagillion poly lines, of course)? Someone mentioned plugins? Where, how?

If you also looking for linetypes search for the Aeccland.lin file. There are Treeline-Hedge linetypes in there. For symbols look in C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\C3D 2017\enu\Data\Symbols or HERE

aha, type tool palettes in your command line.

then,

right click on the tittle bar and select "all palettes"

then.

right click on the folded tabs and select "landscape" (there may be an arrow in the bottom, the landscape option is folded there)

there you go,

you could see a lot of tree blocks there ^_^

sadly, no Landscape tab 😞

it's not Blocks I'm after, it's the Linetype. So I can do a polyline that will look like in the image. For hedges and things.

sadly, this won't work for me.

The buildings are not my main focus, I need the hand drawn hedge linetype. And other planting-appropriate linetypes.

An interesting question, and I'm not sure what the easiest way would be. What I'd do is hand-trace through about 3 squiggle-loops and use that repeating pattern to create a custom linetype.

As we do half Landscape design as well as Civil projects, I will tell you how we make hedges.  Create a polyline inside your required area, offset to the inside 6" or so, then turn that pline into a reversed revcloud.  You can play with the arc lengths to get your desired pattern, and you can add a hatch if you need one.

This way you get something like this:

I have this same challenge all the time, and am surprised that Autodesk has not developed something standard.  I've tried to find the Aeccland.lin file but it does not seem to be available for download anywhere or else I have not found it.  It seems to be a linetype that comes with a Civil package, which is not something I can afford for my business.  Am I missing something?  I am really struggling with using Autocad for landscape drawings.

Hiya all,

after solving the issue with the squiggly line (THANK YOU whoever wrote the code for WPL lisp!), now I battle with a custom line type. I created it with shape, all good untill I hit curves. The line or the 'blips' twists the wrong way at certain turns! Can I prevent that? See image, I want all the V-s pointing inward, how (image, bottom shape)?!!!

Help, please!

Also if anyone wants the lisp file (line of the top shape) or the line type, just ask!

The hedge is a linetype, not a lisp.

No, I'd say not.  It's clear someone has tried to create a custom linetype and is not having much success.  Perhaps this is my only option, but it's not a good one for my needs, and their linetype is not what I had in mind, although it's similar.
