Creating Alignment Report with coordinates and horizontal data

I am trying to find the best way to create an alignment report to output the items included below.

  • Points - At 1m interval and at horizontal / vertical tangent points
  • X, Y, Z - (Z level is not that critical for this report).
  • C - Chainage
  • B - Bearing
  • R - Radius

I use these reports to check the alignment data and to then form the basis of design checks, runtime analysis and setting out reports. In the past, the alignments have been developed in Bentley MX and the output is simple (without any post processing e.g. deleting columns, copy / paste) so I can get data from MX into a spreadsheet within a few minutes. Can anyone advise if I can create the same report from Civil 3D? I can find away to output these through separate reports, but not as one.

Thanks,

Martin

Check the Reports Manager group on the Toolbox tab of your Toolspace.  The Incremental stationing report is probably the closest to what you're looking for.

Hi, you have to use the toolbox report, for profiles since the elevation is a data of vertical geometry not horizontal alignment ... you only have a design gradient and a terrain profile the program associates and creates The report by estacado and quotas ... I leave you a video that elaborates for the forum in Spanish ... you can follow the sequence because the audio is in Spanish ... regards, and I hope that you serve this contribution.

There is no easy way to recreate an alignment and profile from this data. The best you can do will be importing the horizontal geometry data as cogo points. Draw a polyline through the PI points, convert that to an alignment and then add free simple curves or free SCS curves.

For the profile you have the stations and elevations of the VPIs and k values for the vertical curves.

The data is in the table but frankly you would be much better if it was provided in a more useful format. Go back to the designer and ask for an XML file.
