Point to surface comparison

I want to create a conformance report based on a set of points picked up and compare them to the design surface. I can edit the heights based on the design, export them, and compare them in an Excel file. I can then bring them back into the drawing with a new point group for my report. However, Civil 3D Tools has an option that creates a new point group for this automatically.

I wanted to know if there is a way in Civil 3D to create a differential point group based on the as-built points and the design surface, without going back and force and using Excel or Civil 3D Tools

Subject: Enhancement Request for COGO Point Offset Functionality

@saeid_hajahmadi Sir, You have delivered outstanding work, the application results are truly impressive and remarkably fast. Thank you very much for the valuable effort you have invested in producing such excellent results.

I have one additional request: could you please add a function that allows assigning a negative offset value to COGO points to represent the side of the alignment? Specifically, the right-side offset value in the report should remain as normal, while the left-side offset value should be indicated with a minus sign, consistent with how Civil 3D displays station offset reports for COGO points.
Thank you again for all the time and dedication you have put into developing these exceptional plugins.

No problem. Happy to help. I just wrote this script to help some collegue. I will try to add that to if I have time. But for that kind of report you don't need my plugin. Civil 3D itself will give you that report. here is how:

@saeid_hajahmadi, Yes Sir, you are correct. Civil 3D does have the functionality to generate station-offset reports. However, when using the default Civil 3D reporting options, we need to produce two separate reports one for station-offset and another for PENZ (Point #, Easting, Northing, Elevation).
These reports then have to be combined manually, or alternatively, we can use Project Explorer to generate a combined report. In compare, your plugin provides this combined report with a single click, which is significantly faster than the default method. This is the only reason I kindly request you that, whenever you have the spare time, please update the plugin.
Thank you very much for your support and for all the effort you put into helping us.
