HI Folks,

I am facing an issue since I switch into C3D 2024 , when I am importing shp file of Pipe network through import GIS Data the all curve pipes break and loose inverts while straight pipes are correct. I will share screen short for your review, advise and solution. Please help.

The primary problem is that the ShapeFile specification itself does not provide for curves.  While there are different types of geometry in the spec and a measure field could be used to store a bulge factor, it's highly unlikely you would get any two providers (let alone all) to use the fields to store curve data.

That said the short segments could be evaluated and curves could be restored after the import.  There are not any current tools available for this on pipe networks that I'm aware of, but it could be addressed in the near future.

Consider posting a drawing with your pipe part definitions and the shapefile collection (all files, not just the .SHP) and myself and others could make better recommendations.

I could be wrong here, but I don't believe C3D Pipe Networks can have a curved pipe. It can replicate a curve by pipe deflection, but not a true curve, this could be why the import is failing.
