PDF not plotting correctly

Got a new issue. Got a set of plans that, in the past, has been fine when I create pdfs of the sheets. Now, suddenly and for no reason, one sheet is giving me garbage. No clue why. The only change is this: I renumbered the sheet in the sheet set and moved it up one place in the set.

Using release 17 of AutoCAD, and I'm creating pdfs of each drawing in the set using the "Publish to plotter" command from sheet set.

Any thoughts?

No reason for it to change based on what you said.

Can you better define "giving me garbage"?

Have you checked the page setup on this sheet?

Yes, I checked the page set up. I've attached the pdf so you can see what I mean.

it looks like you are only plotting part of the drawing.

If the page set up is set to extents and there is something outside the set extentis in paperspace then this will cause it

Hello @andrew.robinson4HZXU

Sorry to hear that you are having this issue but, I was wondering since you rearranged the sheet order maybe detaching and reattaching the PDF will help resolve this issue. Please post back with your results.

Thanks,

Wendell

It's not merely plotting only a portion of the drawing, the portion it's plotting is not even IN that drawing! Which is doubly confusing as how in the world is it doing that? And I also checked the extends. In the preview mode, everything looks like.

Tried it.

Got exact same image.

Thanks anyway

Message 8 of 16

can you post the drawing

Message 9 of 16

How about if you recreate the sheet and add it?

Your sample is so perfectly cut in a rectangle though: is there something in that layout that fits the shape?
Message 10 of 16

Tried that too, no dice. And no, there's nothing in the drawing in that shape, and no text or anything else that looks like it.

Hello @andrew.robinson4HZXU

I just wanted to follow up here, any progress on this issue? Are you still in need of help or have you been able to solve your problem? Can you please post back on how to proceed with this issue. Thanks

Thanks for checking. No, no progress. I checked with the company expert and he thinks it's because we've got a pdf in the drawing. He suggested removing it and replacing the text of the pdf with my own. It'll take time to type it, it's a full paragraph of notes and I'm very busy, so I haven't tried it yet. Beyond that, I don't know what to try.

No one ever wants to purchase an additional program but I have had so many benefits for using Acro-plot it may be of help.  I haven't checked but they may offer a trial period.

Hello @andrew.robinson4HZXU

Sorry to hear you are still having this issue and thank you for replying back. Is it possible for you to post or email the drawing for review or maybe I can send you a link to upload the file? Anything you can provide will greatly help in solving this problem so, you don't have to type that full paragraph of notes.

Please keep us posted and thanks for the reply back. Thanks

Finally had time to replace pdf with text, and now the drawing plots fine. Don't understand why that screwed it up, but hey, just glad it's fixed.

Thanks, everyone, for your suggestions and support.
