Multi text shadows

I don't know how this happens, there must be a setting to correct this. When I select my multi text to edit it, I get one or two shadows that I can't delete without deleting the original.

That's annotative text. You can turn that off by turning off the SELECTIONANNODISPLAY. Set it to 0.
