How to find points hidden under a point group?

I made some points that I cannot see in in model space.  From before I think they are hidden under a Point Group that won't display them.  How can I find out what point group they are under?  And how can I get to see them?  I made the very first Point Group of the list MY POINTS.  I thought that would override anything underneath?

I can't do Point Group Properties because when I zoom to the points I see nothing - so there's nothing to select to use that option.

create a group of the points in question ( filter by description / number etc.) stylize the group as desired, set to top followed by all point off

You often won't see the points because you have to update the point groups.

I did. So there are No Exclamation points ! in front of any point group name.
I closed out of the program completely and went back in. they are there now. Maybe that's why it didn't work?
I made those points my very first point group.
