Hello,
I've searched this topic over the past 15 years and it seems we've never received a proper answer from Autodesk, or promise that it will eventually be built into Civil3d. Since I haven't seen any recent questions, i'll ask again -- is there any way to automatically & dynamically label Overhaul (m3*km) on a Mass Haul Diagram?
Currently the best way I know how is to explode the Mass Haul Line into a block, then explode it again into Hatches. Then check your horizontal and vertical scale to get the correct units of m3*km and sum the hatches to get Overhaul. Since under the hood the mass haul diagram is just made of hatches I can't believe it is a very hard thing for the developers to do (just sum all the hatches - free haul hatches and adjust for scale).
This workaround takes too long, and this part of Civil3d just seems incomplete. Hopefully by now there is a more streamlined way to create this label. Any suggestions to speed things up are welcome!
Thanks
Hi Jeremy,
Thank you for your question and for sharing your experiences over the years.
There hasn't been much development on this feature since your last similar post in 2010 (link to the post).
To ensure your suggestion reaches the right team, I recommend posting it on Civil 3D Ideas. The product team regularly reviews these ideas and suggestions, which could help prioritize the development of this feature.
Thanks again for your input, and I hope this helps.
