Exporting IFC from Civil - incorrect geometry.

Hello

I am trying to export "pipes" and other structures (from Civil 3D to IFC), which are in general 3D Solids or Block Reference.

I am constantly having this issue, that IFC geometry is incorrect. In the first picture you can see it. Second picture is how it looks in Civil 3D, and the last one - I moved whole project to wrong coordinates to somwhere near zero coordinates, and IFC is 90% OK.

I tried exporting with Civil 3D 2023, with Civil 3D 2024, COPY - PASTE to New dwg files and so on.

FUN FACT - Trimble Connect shows IFC with correct geometry, Autodesk products and ArcGis do not.

Any ideas?

Are you opening your file in Navisworks?

Might have something to do with large coordinates.

Try following settings under options:

Navisworks was used only to show, that IFC geometry is incorrect. My aim is to add this IFC with extended data to ArcGis. Reason why I need IFC, is because in DWG attached a lot of useless information, while IFC is +- clean.
