Export / Import Surface XML file

I created a surface in a CAD file and named it FGL 1C. I checked the properties. Minimum elevation read 3.70m.

I exported this file as an XML file with the same name.

I imported this XML surface file into another Civil 3D file. When I check the properties, I find the Minimum elevation reads 0m.

I have similarly exported / imported other surface file using the same workflow. The surface properties did not change.

What possibly is going wrong?

I have attached the two screen shots of the surface properties.

Please help me.

Thanks.

Flip the surface on its side, and turn on points and triangles - or check the data for the spurious 0 elevation.

LandXML is also a text file - make sure you didnt import a zero value.
