Engineer's Seal Block

Any reason why I am getting the circles around the stars on my seal block when I do not have them in the block itself? It seems to be attached to the block when I import a layout from the template file. I use the regen command to minimize the circles but they do not completely go away.engineers seal.JPG

PDMODE variable, change the setting: look up usage in HELP. Those are point objects in your artwork.

Since it is a system variable, is there a way to make certain points appear with a different geometric representation on plans? Something in point styles I assume?

PTYPE allows you to alter the appearance of the points, but it affects all points globally, you can't have different points with different display types.  There is one type that displays as an invisible dot, that's probably the one you want.

Points on defpoints layer are not affected by PTYPE.

Now that the block is created you no longer need the points. Why not just delete them?

That setting is for native acad points not civil3d cogo points
