Disable Plugins/Addons

Hi,

Is there a way to disable Addons/plugins/extensions for Civil 3D without uninstalling them?

I am trying to diagnose some issues and would rather not have to completely uninstall and reinstall each addon.

The addons are SincPac C3D, Kobi Tookit and MapWorks.

I have tried setting Appautoload to 0 but it doesn't change anything.

Thanks

you could find which plugin folder they are located in and temporarily move the folders out, that may help.

many times they are here:

C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins

That MapWorks eval should have expired, so simply uninstall it.  Note it's (nearly twin) brother C3DTools would be best for Civil3D.

If the addons are .bundle based (most are now), you can just rename the folder from *.bundle to *.bundl and that addon will no longer load. Chris noted the folder they are typically in.

Hi,

Hope the community corrects me if I am mistaken but doesn't unloading the cui disables the add-on. on the command line type CUIUNLOAD and proceed with unloading the specific CUIs you do not need!

Thanks

No, Samir. The Sincpac add-on doesn't even come with a CUI as the commands and Ribbon Tabs/Panels are added at runtime in code. The only way to disable it is to make it so the AutoCAD cannot find the DLL's to load.

You can use the startparameter /safemode (>>>details<<<) (or system variable with the same name), this avoids loadings of applications and plugins.
