Delta Label Style issues.

I can not figure out how to get my label style for  "Distance-Radius and Delta" to display a D=DDMMSS. It ads the weird characters for minutes and seconds as seen in screenshot 1. The preview in label style editor (screenshot2), however, shows it how I want it. Does any one know how to fix that?

It could be in the font you use in the first screenshot. Use something common, like Arial or TimesNewRoman.

Heath,
Thanks for posting your drawing.
Because of the font coding in the Content Editor, I couldn't change the font from "fSymbol" to something else without deleting that component and re-creating. Of course then you lose the Delta Symbol.

it was the "Symbol" font. once I changed that, the delta symbol changed to a "D". Thank you. That was helpful!

Thanks for posting the drawing.

I just looked back and saw that this has been solved.

Since this is already written I will post this anyway.
You can have the delta Symbol and correctly formatted text.

@tcorey is correct; It is a font issue:

The "Delta" Symbol is the letter "D" and is formatted to use the True Type font Symbol.

The remainder of the delta callout uses the "Romans" Style specified on the General tab of the Label Style Composer.

"Romans" uses the Roman.shx font.

This displays as expected.

When I edited the text of one of the label placements, I copied the delta contents to a new line and formatted it all to use the True Type Font Symbol. This replicates your problem display. Check the formatting of the Delta text component.

You can retain the delta symbol using the capital d character (D) and formatting just that character to use the font "Symbol.ttf."

Chris,
Thank you. I didn't know you could use different formatting for different parts of a line's content.

FWIW, Romans has a delta symbol.  No need for the symbol font just for that.

Thanks, @MMcCall402; I was head-slapping myself for disremembering that.  " \U+0394 "

@Pointdump, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D have a lot of obscure elements.

I hope that I am still learning, not just re-learning.

Hi, @HeathMMGHGS. I had not noticed you were a new participant. Welcome!

I do not know the accepted practice in your region, but I would avoid using "D" as a replacement for the delta symbol. "D" is a common identifier for "degree of curve." You might consider using "CA" for the "central angle."
The other old surveyors in the community may have differing opinions.
