Command Line Continually Un-Docking

I've been struggling with my command line continually becoming un-docked despite setting my workspace settings to "automatically save changes" after changing the command line to docked.
Under my CUI, I noticed that something is continually changing my command line orientation to "floating" even after I change it to Docked. It will typically stay for a few days and then revert back.

I noticed there was an updated 2023.3.1 that updated issues with Prospector and Command Line being docked. I thought this was the issue, but after installing my command line reverted back to floating again.

Turn 'automatically save workspace changes' off. Dock and size your command line and 'save as' the workspace. This normally fixes that problem. If you still have problems, you can lock the UI on the task bar - remember to unlock it if you want to make changes. Sometimes scripts/lsp/etc can cause changes to your workspace, if that happens just switch to another workspace and then switch back to yours.

Thanks! I did the "lock and save as workspace" like you mentioned a while ago and was still experiencing issues. I'll try the Lock UI.

Make sure you turn off autosave.

I recently ran into this again after doing a new Civil 3D installation.

What fixed this for me was unpinning the icon from the taskbar, closing C3D, re-opening using the desktop icon and docking the command line, then re-pinning the icon to the taskbar. After I shut CAD down and restarted the program again, the command line has stayed docked.

In the past, I had luck with running CAD as administrator. Now with a company that uses an IT company to manage our computers, I don't have admin privileges and had to come up with a new solution. I detailed the process I used for that in this post, below the accepted solution: Solved: Re: Civil 3D 2019 Command line does not stay docked. - Autodesk Community - Civil 3D
