I have a problem with xref targets i am using civil 3d 2014 i used corridors targets as x-reference that worked well but when i modify that target reference file for example join some line short some line or trim some line after that i saved and reload my reference file and my targets disappear from corridor properties i checked it in then i insert that reference as block and assign all targets again to corridor then again when i made any modification in target lines in that block and save and again targets disappear from corridor properties..

why its is.... my file is around 80 mb in size

waiting for help thanks in advance

I am having difficulty fully understanding your problem. Can you post some screenshots, with captions, that will show us your workflow?

It is highly recommended to not use XREF targets in a corridor, even though the software supposedly allows you to do that. If the internal ID changes for an object that is being targeted, the corridor will remove it without warning. I know you're using C3D 2014, but I had this happen to me when 2016 first came out. I was told by Autodesk that my drawing became corrupt (they don't know how or why), and it kept happening.

You can't change the targeted object except by grip editing. Any other method of editing can cause the object to change, which C3D then won't recognize and you'll have to re-target everything. Unloading and reloading XREFs can also cause issues. That's why it's bad practice to use XREF objects as targets in a corridor.
