Civil 3D 2020 Slow Response Time

There is a delay in anything I select in 2020, rather it be the layer pull down, or minimize/maximize.

Anyone else seeing this?

Probably all of the flooding going on today.....

Did it just start? It's been OK in the past?

Right?

No, it's been that way since installation. Does it on my work laptop and my personal laptop.

No. A little different. I NEVER keep layer palette open. I'll post a screencast here in a minute.

Just messing with the layer pulldown like in your screencast, I notice that if I change a layer, there is a lag the first time I go back to the pulldown. The next time I go back, as long as it's on the same layer, there won't be a lag. If I change the layer again, there will be a lag. It's like it's caching the display or something. I'll test this more, but this is the first noticeable lag I've found so far.

Any update on this?  Does it go away?  I installed about a week ago and it's rather annoying.  Thanks.

I get a lag of 23 seconds!! (I timed it) when I click to select a target in the corridor model. Never had a lag with 2016, does anybody else have this issue?

I'm on 2020.1.1 and I have no noticeable lag when recreating Todd's screencast. Select object, go to layer pull down, and select a different layer. This drawing has 250 layers and it and moves pretty quick.

YES! I have this problem as well. Yesterday I went to open a file and just clicking on the open icon made it lag for at least 5 minutes. Very frustrating. Graphics driver updated, still lags bad. Please fix this Autodesk!

I'm posting to keep this thread active.  Autodesk, We need a solution!!!!!!!!

There's definitely something going on with Graphics in 2020.  All delays or crashes seem to relate to graphics.

Turning off Hardware Acceleration fixes some crashes, but also causes some display issues when moving many objects at once.

- Creating or editing Mtext takes a minute until I get cursor.

- Switching to other open drawings has crashed and when it does switch without crashing, it has a major lag

- Trying to use Object Viewer has crashed

- etc...

I'm running C3D 2018 and C3D 2020 side by side and C3D 2020 is terrible.

It seems it's causing a memory leak in graphics  My clients are pretty frustrated with this upgrade (downgrade)

I see still no fix. AutoCAD Civil 3D has turned out to be the most unproductive program we have.

Apparently there is a bug in 2020.2 with unloaded XREF's causing performance issues.
