autocad 2020 - Slow perfomance when Layer control in Layout Tab

On the Layout tab,create a viewports, freeze the layers,

unfreeze the layers again and it slows down.

The same is true for changing the color of the vp layer or for vp freezing and releasing.

But it’s okay in model space.

What is the problem?

Is your layout palette docked or floating? Try the other.
Or does closing the LAYER palette solve the slowness?

As a test, does CLASSICLAYER command exhibit the problem?
