Meeting Notes, Project Diary and Ideas

It would be nice to have specific places/templates on BIM 360 for Meeting Notes, Project Diary and for submitting Design Ideas.

@Anonymous are you thinking about seeing this in a new PM module for meeting minutes?

Also, regarding the project diary, if this is the same thing as the daily log I expanded on my thoughts here.

For meeting notes, I would add the ability to create a new meeting from a previous one (copy of previous). This way site personnel could start right where they left off. In addition, being able to assign tasks from the meeting minutes, in the same way an Issue is created from a checklist.

@Anonymous , @Anonymous , your thoughts?

@Shirin.arnold , could you help us get this in the pipeline?

Hi Tomer, please send me an update on the beta program for Meetings in the Project Management module. I would like to sign-up and try out. does it include a schedule or timeline? We are using BIM 360 Design to coordinate consultants and deliverables - need better tracking and communications here. Thanks, Mary

With this feature now "implemented", no doubt this idea's status will be changed accordingly.

The problem though is where this feature was implemented. Taking meetings minutes is a task which anyone on the project can do and across all stages of the project. It is not solely a project management task within the construction stage.

So why is this not a core (Docs) feature?

I already have customers and other people coming to me asking how to access this feature as they do not have a Build license?

I have raised a new idea here requesting this feature be assigned to the correct license type.

But this just goes to a much larger problem of why a Project Management module exists in the first place. I completely understand that Project Managers have some unique responsibilities. But project management is a responsibility which most people on a project, across all stages, have a general duty of care to perform.

BIM 360 is a project management platform, so why do we need a specific Project Management module? Surely the RFIs, Submittals, and Meetings could be better positioned.

Well done Chad you have touched on a valid point why is this basic functionality in the Project Management module? they are core tasks and should be in the docs module? and agree why do we need a separate project management module?

Having a separate project management module is not the right way for the industry, does Autodesk want people to use this product?
