Label/Markup tool based on property values

Label/Markup tool based on property values

Hi, at this time we're having a project completely without traditional drawings. I represent a general contractor, and in this project the only design material we get from the designers is a combined model in .nwd format.

We are trying to use 360 Glue (and Field/Layout) to manage the building process. I'm going to post a few enhancement needs, this being the fith one.

We need a tool to easily set what properties should be used, and then display these as markup in the view. This is to easily be able to communicate the different information stored in the model visually. The properties view/palette is ok, but our project contains large amounts of data, and it is not easy for everyone to get the needed information from the structure of the properties palette.

The workflow of the label/markup tool should be to; first define what property values you want to use, then pick an object to display the desired property values. The label tool should also contain a witness line to the displayed information. You must be able to move both the label itself, and the witness line. Ex. when setting labels to rebar, you should be able to pick the point where you want to start the witness line, so it's easy to see what label connects to what rebar/point. You should also be able to move the label, so it's possible to rearrange the view the way you want it.

It should also be possible to add more than one label at a time, and preferably some method for updating the label/markup when getting new revisions.

Best regards, Inge Handagard
