When using BIM360 for full project document management, create a process where a user can fence an area of a single file and create a hyperlink to an issue in an issue list. This would make the issue very granular rather than a general link to a file. An example is the Owner Contract which can be over a thousand pages in a pdf file. An issue may be only related to page 1023 paragraph A.1.c and A.1.d. The user would place a fence around those paragraphs and create the hyperlink for embedding in the issue.
This process would reduce chances for errors, even from the cut and paste method, because it points to the most current version.
