Desktop Connector support for Mac or Windows ARM

Desktop Connector support for Mac or Windows ARM

Would be great go get this supported natively on Mac OS or failing that get it working again under Windows ARM. Revit now runs pretty well under parallels on M1 Mac's but desktop connector no longer installs - fails on the filter easyflt.sys (something like that). Earlier versions used to install I'm sure but not the last few latest builds.

Same problem, the Autodesk file system monitor system monitor service will not run and the install will not finish on Macbook Pro M3with Parallels 19.4. Please fix Autodesk.

AUTODESK WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO LISTEN TO US AND FIX THIS ???

I am running Revit 2022, 23, 34, 2025 and several other Autodesk software on my M2 MacBook Pro via Parallels. It works perfectly, especially with the new Vision Pro's. However, we still do not have a working Autodesk Desktop Connect for Windows 11 ARM.

I have a desktop PC with an H drive where I place my desktop connect projects. This drive is shared and mapped to MacBook. It is accessible to my MacBook offline so I can still use it and save files to it when I am out of town. When I arrive back to my office, I allow time for my MacBook to sync these files back to my desktop.

These files will not be real time updated when I am away.

AUTODESK, ANY NEWS ON DESKTOP CONNECTOR FOR WINDOWS ARM ???

So, I noticed with the last desktop connector update that Autodesk provided guidance on installing the Desktop Connector within a virtualized environment. I don't know if anyone here is attempting to run Revit on a windows-on-arm machine natively, but my issues are all within Parallels on a Mac. So, while these issues may seem to be related to non-persistent VMs, the solutions in the help document may provide a solution for us as well.

Anybody have time to review and/or test this?

Autodesk Inventor is crucial for our company, and we are unable to use it without Autodesk Desktop Connector. We tested it on our MacBook Air ARM-based laptops with Windows 11 ARM installed via Parallels. Unfortunately, Autodesk Desktop Connector does not install. We identified the driver causing the issue and opened an issue on their GitHub page. It would be great if you could support it.

Very Frustrating. Up to Revit 2024 seems to work well on Parallels. Unfortunately Desktop connector doesn't, so the entire project environment inside Autodesk Docs and Collaborate which Autodesk is so aggressively promoting falls flat.

Also supporting this cause.. I am working on an M3 MacBook and running Inventor and Vault fine via Parallels. the issue is installing Desktop Connector to integrate properly with Vault - need this running. Thanks.

I seem to have found a solution - basically pre-approve projects on a pc and then keep working on the mac:

1. open desktop connector on a pc

2. login with your user

3. select all the projects the user will be working on

and - voila

open revit in mac/parallels - and it all works again.

etai...

We can open the files and work on them with no Issue..

The Issue with not Installing ADC is that you cannot reload Links, Browse the Project Files on Windows Explorer to modify them, like Keynotes, Links (Dwg, Revit, etc)

Or maybe I am not understanding your Fix...

Thanks.

AUTODESK, PLEASE HEKP US WITH THIS ISSUE, UPDATE AUTODESK CONNECTOR TO BE ABLE TO INSTALL ON WINDOWS ARM !!!

Nothing better than waiting for years for software.

Hours seem like days..... years seem like decades.

I wonder will we hit the 4 year mark without any response from Autodesk.

Wish I could to a poll  !

I could probably predict

No response from Autodesk within 4 years of waiting.                 100%

Autodesk respond , we are thinking about thinking about it.           0%

It’s truly an absurd situation that a software house of this caliber is incapable of creating an installer for ARM processors.
